FAQ

What type of wood do you use?

Please check out Our Wood Page for more info.

What is your process? What Methods do you use?

Lumber Is hand picked each week and air dried in the shop. The lumber is then lightly planed and prepped for building. We use a combination of new and traditional woodworking techniques to build out the tables and then add our breadboards (End Boards). The tables are then sanded, stained and finished with satin lacquer.

What is a Breadboard?

A breadboard is the perpendicular board on each end of the table. This board is attached to help the stability of the table but also allows for the wood to move as the seasons/humidity changes. Unlike laminate or veneers, Solid wood needs to “breathe” as the weather changes, or the table will become susceptible to large cracking.

What type of finish do you use?

We use a commercial grade satin lacquer for its overall durability. We take great pride in our finishing methods and we are constantly advancing our methods to create a durable, and beautiful piece that will last generations.
